About Our Team

The exponential growth of our faculty practice, coupled with that of Weill Cornell Medicine and NewYork-Presbyterian,  have made the enterprise larger and more complex. In order to continue to put patients first, we will adopt the Epic platform, setting the stage for future growth and continued excellence in the delivery of clinical care and service. 

We know there is strength in numbers, and we are stronger when we work together.  Everyone at CUMC can do their part to ensure this project's success. There will be opportunities throughout the project for faculty, administrators, and staff to be more closely involved with the execution of this plan. 

To facilitate this important turning point in the way we deliver patient care, a governance structure has been put in place to guide Columbia, NewYork-Presbyterian, and Weill Cornell Medicine's collaboration to address our specific needs.

  • Tripartite Governance: Under the tripartite governance structure, each institution will have an equal say in guiding and overseeing Epic Together.
  • Columbia Governance: The governance of Epic Together includes constituents from all Columbia clinical disciplines, as well as our faculty practice organization and subject matter experts.
  • Implementation Team: We are developing and mobilizing teams that will engage in the implementation of the Epic Together project at Columbia.
  • Departments and Practices: Departments and practices will be represented in the process by key personnel identified by their leaders to serve as project liaisons.
